How Do I Know if My Inmate Received My InmateAid Letter?

How will I know if my brother is using his inmateaid account? I'm going to send him a letter through his profile and I want to make sure he gets it

InmateAid does not have a read receipt or delivery confirmation system the way email does.

InmateAid does not have a read receipt or delivery confirmation system the way email does. What the platform can confirm with certainty is that your letter was printed and dispatched through the US Postal Service. From that point forward, delivery is in the hands of the postal system and the facility mailroom.

The inmate does not have an InmateAid account of their own and does not log in to read letters digitally. The letter arrives as a physical printed document delivered to them through the facility mail system, the same way any piece of mail would. There is no account activity on their end that you can track or monitor from yours.

The most meaningful confirmation you will get is a response. When your brother writes back and mails his reply to InmateAid's return address, the letter is received at the InmateAid office, scanned, and uploaded directly to your account. You receive an email notification when it arrives so you know to check. That reply is the clearest possible signal that your letter reached him and that the communication channel is working.

If you do not hear back after a reasonable amount of time and want to check whether the letter was delivered or returned, contacting InmateAid customer support is the right step. The team can look up the order and confirm whether the letter is still in transit, was delivered without issue, or came back for any reason. If a letter is returned, InmateAid will reach out to explain what happened and walk you through your options.
