How are release dates determined and can they change from the posted date?
So my friend was suppose to get out in 30 something days then I find out she got transfered to another jail and I called to see what the charges where and they said suspension of license and grand larceny . I looked to see her released date and now it the same as it was before would they change the date

The release date can change as an inmate accrues new charges.

The release date can change as an inmate accrues new charges. There are no guaranteed release dates when you are the property of the government. There is also a possibility that a different jurisdiction has it's own charge and/or warrant which would extend the stay.
