Can you change inmate phone number after transfer

I just signed up for telephone service with you guys, and it works great; however, my husband just got transferred from county to prison. Is there a way to set up a new number since my month has not expired? thank you!

Yes, you can absolutely get a new number set up after a transfer, and you do not have to wait for your current month to expire.

When an inmate moves from a county jail to a prison, the area code and phone system usually change, so a new local number is needed for the discount service to keep working properly.

Here is what to do:

  • Provide the name of the new facility
  • Request an updated local number for that location

In most cases, the new number can be set up quickly, often within about an hour, and there is no additional charge for the change.

Once you receive the new number:

  • Set it up with the new facility’s phone provider
  • Send the updated number to your husband so he knows what to dial

This ensures you continue getting the lowest possible call rates without interruption.
