CCCC is a State - minimum state correctional facility in Littlerock, WA, operated by the Washington Department of Corrections. Inmates serve sentences ranging from one year to life and have access to programs including education, vocational training, and work assignments. This page covers how to locate an inmate, schedule visits, make calls, send money, and stay connected throughout their sentence at CCCC.
While incarcerated, reading is often the best use of time. Please note that books and magazines, puzzles, and word searches ordered for inmates must come directly from the publisher. This policy ensures that the items are new, untampered, and comply with the facility's regulations. Prisons and jails enforce this rule to prevent the introduction of contraband or prohibited materials. By restricting orders to publishers, the facility can better maintain security and control over the content entering the institution. Any books or magazines not received directly from the publisher will be rejected and not delivered to the inmate. You may, however, send letters and selfies to inmates with this easy-to-use app, packages starting at only $8.00.
CCCC operates as a minimum-security state prison, housing up to 480 adult male inmates across two units: the Cascade Unit and the Olympic Unit. Inmates at CCCC engage in service crews that provide labor for various government agencies and non-profit organizations, including tasks like operating a wastewater treatment plant, maintaining trails, planting trees, and fighting forest fires for the Washington Department of Natural Resources. The facility also allows inmates to work with animals through programs like training service dogs provided by Brigadoon Service Dogs.
In terms of rehabilitation and counseling, CCCC offers anger and stress management counseling, intensive outpatient substance abuse programs, moral recognition therapy, and cognitive-behavioral treatment to inmates. They can also participate in institutional jobs providing support services to the prison, including custodial maintenance, laundry, and food preparation. Technical training is available in areas such as siding, roofing, drywall installation, and building maintenance.
Community involvement is a significant aspect of CCCC's mission, with partnerships established with local schools, businesses, churches, and non-profit organizations. Offenders engage in community service crews, providing thousands of hours of work annually to various agencies. Additionally, CCCC collaborates with the Department of Natural Resources to maintain trails, campgrounds, and forests.
Furthermore, CCCC is committed to sustainability efforts, engaging both staff and inmates in activities such as gardening, composting, recycling, rainwater catchment, and service dog training. Through the Sustainability in Prisons Program (SPP), offenders are connected with nature and educated about environmental responsibility. Programs like the Oregon Spotted Frog Hatchery and Reintegration Program and the Beekeeping Program not only contribute to environmental conservation but also provide valuable skills and resources for the facility and its inmates.
