The DuQuoin Impact Incarceration Program stands as a unique and intensive approach to rehabilitation within the Illinois Department of Corrections. This short-term, paramilitary-style program accommodates up to 200 offenders and operates as a boot camp, offering eligible individuals the opportunity to reduce their sentences through successful completion of program requirements. Approved by the sentencing court and accepted by the department, participants who fulfill the rigorous demands of the program may see their sentences reduced to time served, typically between 120 to 180 active days, followed by a term of mandatory supervised release.
Situated on eight acres of land, the DuQuoin IIP facility comprises four essential buildings: Administration, Multi-Purpose, Dormitory, and Maintenance. Emphasizing physical fitness and discipline, the center features a one-third-mile running track and a spacious 14,000-square-foot outdoor exercise area. Within this structured environment, participants engage in a range of vocational, clinical, and community service activities aimed at fostering personal growth and rehabilitation.
