The Federal Correctional Institution, Petersburg Medium (FCI Petersburg Med), part of the Petersburg Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) in Virginia, houses medium-security male inmates and operates alongside an adjacent satellite prison camp for minimum-security offenders. Located in Prince George County, it lies 25 miles southeast of Richmond, Virginia, and is designated as a Sex Offender Management Program (SOMP) prison, with around 40 percent of inmates incarcerated for sexual offenses.

Inmates are housed in two-, three-, and four-person cells, and the facility provides various healthcare services including sick calls, medications, dental care, eyeglasses, and physical examinations. Psychological services offer crisis counseling, coping skills, and suicide prevention, with specialized programs available for sex offender treatment.

FCI Petersburg Medium houses a Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP). A Non-Residential Drug Abuse Program (NR-DAP) and a Drug Education Class are also offered.
