Inmate Phone Calls

What are the next steps after getting a local line?

If I set up an account with globel tech for a local number and am still waiting for a new local number do I still need to set up a phone account with securustech.net the advance phone account to receive calls? Or does globel tech handle all this ?

Whichever phone company has the contract with the prison/jail your inmate is in, you will HAVE to use them.

Whichever phone company has the contract with the prison/jail your inmate is in, you will HAVE to use them. Getting the local number is good if Global Tel*Link is the provider. If it is Securus, then we need to check their published rates to see which number will work best. Securus' rates are sometimes worse for local numbers and better for long distance numbers. The only way to know for sure, and to get an honest assessment of whether getting another number will benefit you, is by sending us your telephone number and the name of the detention facility. We will do a rate center match and give you your best option. Sometimes doing nothing is the best thing. Thanks for trusting InmateAid.
