How long is a material witness hold for an illegal immigrant?
My husb is with the us marshalls in brooks county detention c he doesnt have any charges they got him when he was trying to come to tx illegal but they have him in there as a material witness do you have any idea how long most cases take for him to get out and he has a hold in immigration

Material witness holds last as long as the US Marshal needs their testimony. They will hold him on the immigration violation but use his testimony at the trial of the people he was a witness to. In the end he will most likely be deported back to his home country.
