how long do you have to go to jail for a probation violation?

My bf was picked up in arkansas for a warrant out of Georgia for probation violation! He was extradited back to towns detention center and is currently being held there!! He still has I think 4 years on his probation! What can I expect to happen??

This depends on the PO's recommendation to the court and how and the violation was written up.

This depends on the PO's recommendation to the court and how and the violation was written up. The problem is that the original judge will decide and they are normally not happy to see the defendant back in front of them, violating the leniency previously provided. It could be a few months or the balance of the original sentence.
