Absolutely, and you are doing exactly the right thing.

There are very few things a person on the outside can do that make a direct and immediate difference in an inmate's daily life. Consistent mail is one of them. A letter or postcard arriving in the mailroom is something physical your inmate can hold, read more than once, and keep. In an environment where personal property is minimal and days blur together, that connection to the outside world carries real weight.

Magazines are one of the best gifts you can send because they keep giving over time. A single issue gets read and re-read, passed around, and talked about. They fill dead time, spark conversation, and provide a mental escape from the monotony of the daily routine. If your inmate has a specific interest, whether sports, fitness, news, cooking, or anything else, a subscription tailored to that keeps something to look forward to arriving regularly.

Holiday photos sent through InmateAid mean even more during the times of year when being separated from family is hardest. Having a picture of the people waiting for them on the wall is a daily reminder of what they are working toward.

InmateAid carries magazine subscriptions and handles the delivery logistics so everything gets to your inmate the right way and to the right address. Between letters, photos, and a magazine subscription, you are covering the most meaningful bases available to you from the outside. Keep it up.
